History of Art Museum

On January 25, 2021, Lujiazui Group signed a loan agreement with the Fundació Joan Miró in Spain.

On July 6,Museum of Art Pudong held its opening ceremony.


On January 10, 2020, Lujiazui Group and The Board of Trustees of the Tate Gallery officially signed the consultancy service contract and an exhibition agreement.

On June 3, Lujiazui Group and Cai Guo-qiang Studio signed a memorandum of cooperation.


On June 11, 2019, Shanghai Lujiazui (Group) Co., Ltd. and The Board of Trustees of the Tate Gallery signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic cooperation, agreeing that Tate would provide training and expertise to Lujiazui Group’s MAP project for a period of three years.

On July 25, 2019, the construction was completed.


On September 15, 2018, the foundation was laid.


On February 27, 2017, Museum of Art Pudong project was approved. 

On September 26,  the construction of Museum of Art Pudong was started.


On September 11, 2016, after four rounds of evaluation, the proposal submitted by Ateliers Jean Nouvel (AJN) was selected as the winning proposal.


On August 31, 2015, the Museum of Art Pudong confirmed its location on Lot B6-2, south of the International Convention Center.

On November 16, the kick-off meeting for the international design call for MAP project was held. This marked the official launch of the project.
